Caliper Painting
At Eudm Autosports, our custom paint process for brake calipers stands out as being one of the most professional ways out there to paint your brake calipers. The typical body shop normally just spray paints the calipers which leave parts that aren’t related to the brake caliper painted, and sometimes angles of the caliper aren’t even fully painted. We spend time and effort in creating the best finish possible for your brake calipers. We actually remove the calipers from the vehicle to allow for much easier access to the caliper. This also guarantees that the caliper will be fully coated. Once the color coat is applied and dry, we then apply the logo design of the customer’s choice. Different sizes and fonts are available. Once the logo dries, we then apply a clear coat over the entire assembly. This encapsulates the logo under the clear coat where it can never peel or roll up due to heat. This process will keep the logo attached to the caliper forever unlike decals that Brand X may use that can burn or peel off.
Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating
PAINT CORRECTION is the process of removing minor scratches and imperfections found in the vehicles clear coat. Using an electric polisher, a microfiber buffing pad, and a special cutting compound, the detailer or you will cut into the clear coat of a vehicle’s paint till the scratches are leveled or removed.
CERAMIC COATING. On the surface of every car is primer, a base coat of paint, and a clear coat which protects the paint from external elements. A ceramic coating for cars is a product that is applied to the surface of your car on top of the clear coat.
Essentially, a ceramic car coating is a second layer of skin on the surface of your car. It utilizes nanotechnology, which are tiny particles that come together to form a very thin and transparent layer that is completely invisible to the naked eye.
This layer seals the pores on your car’s paint, producing superior hydrophobic properties, as well as more resistant to ultra-violet rays, scratches, chemicals, and extreme heat. The ceramic coat forms a semi-permanent bond with the surface of your vehicle meaning that it will not wash away or break down over a short period of time.
Paint Protection Film ( PPF )
Paint Protection Film (PPF), also known as Clear Bra, is an 8mil thick clear flexible film, made out of polyurethane. It comes with a specially formulated adhesive in the back, which safely adheres to the surface of your car. PPF can be applied on top of existing paint, or vinyl wrap to protect it from harsh driving conditions. Typically, Paint Protection Films posses heat activating self healing properties, meaning scratches heal on their own when some heat is applied. One of the greatest features of paint protection film is that it saves you money when it comes to a panel repair. If something happens and your car gets scratched, you won’t need to replace the whole car part, or get it repainted. If your car is protected with PPF, a team of trained installers will simply remove the film, and get it replaced with a new piece. Typically, PPF withstands general damage occurring during daily driving. Obviously, if your car got into a major accident, PPF won’t be able to protect the paint, since the impact is too strong.
